2nd ARUA Annual Distinguished Public Lecture 2024 & Launch of Third ARUA Universities Profiles Report
The ARUA Board is delighted to announce the Second Annual Distinguished Public Lecture, which will be delivered by Professor Funmi Olonisakin. Her lecture will explore the theme, “Collaboration in Higher Education as Service to Society.”
Professor Funmi Olonisakin is Vice-President of International, Engagement and Service (IES) at King’s College London. She is also a Professor of Security, Leadership and Development at the African Leadership Centre in the School of Global Affairs at King’s. In her role as Vice-President IES, Professor Olonisakin seeks to facilitate the deployment of King’s assets (including knowledge, scholarship and talent in service of society) locally, nationally and internationally, to enable transformative and lasting impact. She is committed to building interdisciplinary and intersectoral collaboration and sustaining equitable partnerships to realise positive and lasting impact within and beyond King’s.
After the Public Lecture, the Third ARUA Universities Profiles Report will be launched. The report will be based on data collected for 2015-2023. The report will show significant improvements in reporting data from several ARUA universities following the capacity-building initiatives supported by the Carnegie Corporation of New York.
