ARUA DVCs Engage with the University of London
ARUA DVCs have recently interacted with representatives of the University of London (UoL) to discuss various options for increased collaboration in the area of graduate training.
The UoL team was led by Rita Akushie, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Finance & Operations – University of London who participated virtually. She was joined by Kanina Foss, Chief of Staff at SOAS, Maria Wekesa, Programme Manager – Global Engagement at King’s College London, Alexander Turk also at Kings College London, and Simon Trafford, Director of Studies at the School of Advanced Studies.
Rita Akushie observed that University of London’s priorities were fully aligned with those of the ARUA Centres of Excellence and with the ambitions of the ARUA-The Guild Clusters of Research Excellence. She said UoL was eager to develop a strong capacity-building partnership with ARUA and was looking forward to further discussions to refine the range of ideas to be presented at a meeting of ARUA and UoL Vice Chancellors scheduled for Lagos in November 2023.
