ARUA DVCs meet at the University of Dar es Salaam Ahead of Annual Public Lecture

Deputy Vice-Chancellors (DVCs) of ARUA met today at the University of Dar es Salaam to review and discuss the Alliance’s ongoing projects and programs. The meeting provided an opportunity for the DVCs to assess ARUA’s progress and share insights on strengthening its initiatives.

Before the meeting, ARUA Secretary-General, Prof. John Gyapong, paid a courtesy call on the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Dar es Salaam, Prof. William-Andey Lazaro Anangisye.

This engagement precedes the 3rd ARUA Annual Distinguished Public Lecture, which will take place on, Friday, August 29, 2025, at the University of Dar es Salaam.

The lecture, titled “Exploring the Intersections of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and Research Management: Options, Challenges, and Prospects for Universities in Africa”, will be delivered by Prof. Saudin J. Mwakaje of the University of Dar es Salaam.
