Prof Ernest Aryeetey Awarded Honorary Doctor of Science by University of Glasgow
The University of Glasgow today at a special ceremony conferred an honorary Doctor of Science (DSc) degree on Professor Ernest Aryeetey, out-going Secretary-General of the African Research Universities Alliance (ARUA). Professor Aryeetey was recognized for his transformative leadership and exceptional contributions to academia and research across the African continent.
This special ceremony was held as part of events to mark this year’s Commemoration Day, following the foundation of the University in 1451. A number of distinguished persons were also awarded various degrees in recognition of their achievements in the fields of politics, arts, science and humanities.
