University of Glasgow Recognizes Prof. Ernest Aryeetey with Prestigious Honorary Degree
The University of Glasgow has announced honorary degrees to be conferred on distinguished individuals in recognition of their achievement in the fields of politics, arts, science and humanities. Among the recipients, is Prof. Ernest Aryeetey, Secretary-General of the African Research Universities Alliance.
According to the news release from the University of Glasgow, Prof Ernest Aryeetey will receive an honorary Doctor of Science (DSc). Commenting on the awards, the Principal & Vice-Chancellor of the University of Glasgow, said, “Awarding honorary degrees is a way for the University of Glasgow to recognise world-changing achievements and celebrate the successes of individuals who have made a positive impact on society.”
The awards will take place at a special ceremony on Wednesday 12 June 2024 (Commemoration Day), which marks the foundation of the University in 1451.
