ARUA ADMITS EDUARDO MONDLANE UNIVERSITY, MOZAMBIQUE AS ASSOCIATE MEMBER
Eduardo Mondlane University (UEM) in Mozambique has been admitted as an associate member of ARUA. The decision was taken at the recent meeting of the ARUA Executive Committee which took place in Accra.
Associate membership category is for a three year period. Similar to full membership, associate members are obliged to be active in all the affairs of the network, as well as in the work of the Centres of Excellence. They are also expected to participate fully in the development and restructuring of graduate and research programmes across the region.
In a congratulatory note to UEM, ARUA Secretary-General, Professor Ernest Aryeetey said he looked forward to the University’s contribution to the life and work of ARUA to enhance the development of research in the member universities and on the continent.
