Professor Aryeetey first met with Professor Raymond Ndikumana, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Strategic Planning and Administration, and shared with him details of various initiatives undertaken by ARUA. Professor Ndikumana in response, emphasised University of Rwanda’s commitment to the ideals of ARUA. He reiterated the interest of University of Rwanda to take advantage of the opportunities for collaboration made possible by membership of ARUA.

The Vice Chancellor of University of Rwanda, Professor Didas Muganga Kayihura, also met later with the Secretary-General and reaffirmed the positions expressed by his Deputy. The two parties agreed to work closely together for mutual benefit.
