ARUA SG attends World Academic Summit in Sydney
ARUA Secretary General, Ernest Aryeetey, has noted that the Africa Charter for Transformative Research Collaborations would define the future of research in Africa.
He was speaking at a fringe event to present the Africa Charter for Transformative Research Collaborations at THE World Academic Summit taking place in Sydney. He said The Charter will also ensure equitable partnerships.
Prof. Ernest Aryeetey co-chaired the event with Prof. Evelyn Welch, Vice Chancellor of the University of Bristol.
Launched in July 2023, the Africa Charter for Transformative Research Collaborations was co-created by Africa’s major higher education bodies and facilitated by the Perivoli Africa Research Centre at the University of Bristol in partnership with the University of Cape Town and the University of South Africa.
