ARUA SG receives honorary Doctor of Science degree from UHAS
ARUA Secretary-General Professor Ernest Aryeetey this weekend was conferred with an honorary Doctor of Science degree by the University of Health and Allied Sciences for his “immense contribution to education, research and institutional development.” The conferment took place during the University’s Congregation ceremony.
Earlier, Prof. Ernest Aryeetey had delivered a brilliant lecture on the platform of The University’s Annual John Evans Atta Mills Leadership Lecture at the Cedi Auditorium, University of Health and Allied Sciences on the topic, “The Economics of Achieving the Health SDGs in Africa”. In recognizing Prof. Aryeetey for his sterling achievements, he was said to have played a pivotal role in the establishment and operationalization of UHAS when he was Vice Chancellor of the University of Ghana (UG)
Prof. Aryeetey recently received an honorary degree of laws honoris causa from University of Ghana, his alma mater in April this year, having capped another honorary degree from Stellenbosch University in December last year.
