DVC-Research Meeting, #2 for 2019
The Secretary-General of ARUA has announced the dates for the second meeting of the ARUA DVCs in 2019. The meeting will be hosted by Makerere University in Kampala and is most likely to take place on 4 and 5 September 2019.
The first day of the meeting will be devoted to a one-day workshop on pedagogical innovations under the SPHEIR PeDAL project. This will be followed by the first ARUA Public Lecture to be delivered by Professor Mahmoud Mamdani (To be confirmed). On the second day, the regular ARUA business meeting will take place. The agenda item will focused around three things:
- The operations of Centres of Excellence and UKRI support
- Preparations for the November Conference
- Review of ARUA member university PhD programmes
Please note: By attaching the one-day workshop to our meeting, it is possible for the travel expenses of participants to be reimbursed through the DFID SPHEIR grant administered by PASGR. It might be useful to attend the meeting with the Directors of your Centres of Excellence, where applicable.
