The University of Glasgow and the African Research Universities Alliance (ARUA) have a Memorandum of Understanding “to develop research co-operation and to promote mutual understanding between the two parties”. This was first signed in February 2020.
Both parties have agreed to work under the framework provided by the support from UKRI and collaborate under the auspices of the Guild of European Research -Intensive Universities and the Russell Group.
In January 2024, ARUA and the University of Glasgow signed another MOU to “develop research co-operation and to promote mutual understanding” in various areas including collaborative research, symposia, staff and student exchanges.
