The University of Dar es Salaam is the oldest and biggest public university in Tanzania.
It is situated on the western side of the city of Dar es Salaam and was established on 25th October, 1961. The University of Dar es Salaam aims to advance the economic, social and technological development of Tanzania and beyond through excellent teaching and learning, research and knowledge exchange.
